Arms Use
I have a fine furniture rocking chair with "gunk" on the arms from use.What is a safe way to restore ?
My fine finished rocker has a slight residue building up from people hand oils/dirt on the arms. Is there somehow to clean off this gunk safely to restore the original finish? I tried to rub it off dry and with a cloth slightly moistened with an oil soap...not quite where I want it! Heard of Tung oil....any helpful suggestions to restore from anyone out there?
Peter...it is dull underneath what I did remove...did you ever hear of tung oil as a refinisher/preservative to lube the surface?
I love my Hitchcock rocker.
